Happy Thanksgiving

I'm posting this early because I'm going on an media blackout as of tonight. No internet until after Thanksgiving. I'm going to spend some time with my family.

Nonverbal training

Joe Navarro is a former FBI agent and author that teaches with the WSOP Academy. He's written books on poker tells and body language. He has a wealth of knowledge and is a teacher at heart. Through Twitter, he's started doing free training. We watch videos and discuss what we see. We watch a lot of poker videos, but you don't have to know a lot about poker to learn from them.

Technology

Hmmm. Other than poker and trucking needs, I've actually gotten to the point where I'm ready to give up on the internet. There are cool things here, but I find myself caring less and less.

Technology is good, don't get me wrong, but I find myself yearning for simpler things. I see and hear about all the new tech that's out. I bought a new phone the other day, a basic Sanyo 3810. It does all I need and more.

Not a rant, just some thoughts.
